Blackwork · ornamental
Heavy, architectural black. Sleeves and back pieces that read across a room and still hold at arm's length.

Private studio · Providence, RI · est. 2016
Hollow Crown is a three-artist private studio in the Jewelry District. One client at a time, custom work only, drawn for the body it will live on. No walk-ins, no flash-by-the-pound, no rush.
Every artist here books their own work and takes only what fits their hand. Pick the language first; the artist follows.

Fine line · botanical
Single-needle botanicals and script. Quiet pieces built to age gracefully, not to shout on day one.

Traditional · japanese
Bold-will-hold. American traditional and irezumi-informed work with saturated color that heals loud.

Each flash design is tattooed once, then retired. Filter by language; claim one at your consult.
Forearm or calf, palm-sized, bold line with red accent.
Rib or spine, single needle, heals to a whisper.
Upper arm wrap, solid black, reads as one stroke.
Sternum or shoulder blade, soft shading, no hard outline.
Calf or outer forearm, bold-will-hold classic.
Sternum centerpiece, pure geometry, heavy line.
Collarbone drift, five points, one red star.
Inner forearm, soft gray wash, no outline horizon.
Thirty minutes, free, in the studio. Bring references; leave with a plan and a quote range.
1. Choose your artist
2. Choose the language
3. Pick a week
The studio holds one appointment per artist per session. No audience, no waiting bench, no one watching over the shoulder.
Nothing is traced from a binder. Every piece is drawn to the muscle and movement of the placement it will live on.
Hospital-grade sterilization, single-use everything, and a licensed RI studio. Ask to see the spore tests; we like showing them.
Surface healing runs about two weeks; full settling takes a month or more depending on placement and size. Your artist walks you through the exact routine before you leave the chair.
Keep the wrap on as instructed, wash gently with unscented soap, pat dry, and use a thin layer of the aftercare balm we send you home with. No soaking, no sun, no gym on day one.
Yes. One touch-up within six months is included on every piece we do, no charge, because the healed result is the actual product.
Bring anything: references, sketches, a feeling. We do not copy another artist's tattoo line-for-line, but we will build something of yours from it.
The studio minimum is $150. Most palm-sized pieces land between $200 and $400; half-day sessions are $700 and full days $1,200. You get a firm range at the consult, in writing.
